1. Coat TC plates with collagen S (0.25 mg/mL in filter-sterilized PBS, Roche Molecular Biochemicals), approx 0.5 ml per 6 cm dish, and allow to dry in the flow hood.
2. Add FCS to the flask so that the entire surface is coated and then incubate at 37°C for 4-6 h.
3. Transfer plates from the incubator to the flow hood and remove the FCS. Wash the plate surface three times with HBSS. The plates are now ready for use. Seal unused plates with parafin film. Plates can be stored at 4°C for up to 2 wk.
